5 ways to add more exercise to your life

  1. When waiting at the doctor's office, ask if they can tell you how long the wait will be - then use that time to walk around or outside the building.

  2. Exercise with someone with whom you'd like to spend more time. It will give you companionship and structure.

  3. Instead of sitting in a meeting, conduct your meeting as you walk outside or through the building. Also, walk around the field as you watch a child's sporting event.

  4. Make a list of healthy activities you like to do or would like to try. For example:

    • rollerblading
    • walking
    • running
    • biking
    • swimming
    • water aerobics
    • weight training
    • jumping rope
    • gardening
    • kayaking
    • hiking
    • treadmill walking/running
    • cross-country skiing
    • playing tennis

    The list will give you new & different ways to enjoy adding more exercise to your life
